Dalam melancarkan aksinya, lanjutnya, para tersangka ini berperan dalam mempromosikan situs judi dengan mengundang selebritis atau mencari influencer untuk mempromosikan situs judi online.
“Selain itu terdapat juga yang beberapa peran yang sebagai leader dan ada juga yang menjadi anggota pemasaran situs perjudian online (tele marketing) di tempatnya,” ujarnya. Selain menangkap pelaku, polisi menyita barang bukti berupa 21 komputer, tiga router, 34 ponsel.
Atas perbuatannya, pelaku dijerat Pasal 27 ayat 2 junto Pasal 45 ayat 2 UU ITE Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 dengan ancaman 6 tahun penjara.
